Superintendent — Mission-Critical & Commercial Construction (Full-Time W-2)
This is a Full-Time, W-2 position with Rinvio in Ashburn, VA, paying $55–$65 / hr.
Rinvio is recruiting experienced construction Superintendents for full-time, W-2 roles running day-to-day field operations on active hyperscale data center projects in Northern Virginia (Ashburn / Sterling corridor). You will be the on-site leader who keeps subcontractors productive, safe, and on schedule. This is a general construction leadership role — no electrical or mechanical specialty expertise is required. Responsibilities: manage subcontractors across multiple trades (electrical, mechanical, low voltage, plumbing, concrete, and more); plan and lay out field work; coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment; monitor worksite safety and promote a zero-incident safety culture; coordinate with client representatives on site-specific safety, security, and access protocols; communicate design changes, RFIs, and submittals; schedule and oversee required inspections; prepare accurate daily logs; directly supervise field personnel and trade contractors; lead punch-list completion, on-site commissioning, project closeout, and turnover. This is a full-time, W-2 position with Rinvio, benefits included, on a contract running through November 2026, with a strong chance of extension into 2027 and potential to convert to a permanent role. Hiring is one step: a single 15-minute phone interview. Start date: Monday, August 3, 2026. Multiple openings are available, and strong Assistant Superintendents with general contractor field experience will also be considered.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a general contractor, directly managing subcontractors on site. Strong working knowledge of construction scheduling, site safety (OSHA), and quality control. Workable daily commute to the Ashburn / Sterling area, or willingness to relocate for the role. Ability to pass the site owner's badging and background process. Valid driver's license in good standing. High school diploma or GED. Very strongly preferred: an active AWS data center badge. Also preferred: data center or mission-critical project experience; 15+ years of commercial construction experience including five years in a supervisory role; OSHA 30, first aid/CPR certifications.
