Licensed Journeyman Electrician - Healthcare Construction
This is a Full-Time, W-2 Electrical position with Rinvio in Richmond, VA, paying $29–$38 / hr.
Rinvio is seeking licensed Journeyman Electricians for a healthcare electrical construction and renovation project in Richmond, Virginia. Electricians will perform commercial electrical installation, renovation, and troubleshooting while working safely in an active, critical-facility environment. The work requires dependable electricians who can work independently from drawings, coordinate with field leadership, and complete installations to NEC and project specifications. Responsibilities: - Install, modify, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems. - Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, specifications, and layouts. - Install and bend EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit. - Pull, route, label, and terminate conductors. - Install and connect panels, transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and branch circuits. - Install lighting, lighting controls, receptacles, and other electrical devices. - Perform grounding and bonding in accordance with the NEC. - Assist with cable tray, fire alarm, and low-voltage work when included in the assigned scope. - Test completed installations and identify electrical problems. - Coordinate daily work with the foreman, project manager, and other trades. - Follow lockout/tagout, energized-work, and healthcare-site safety procedures. - Support planned shutdowns and phased electrical work in critical areas when assigned. - Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. - Communicate material, access, or field-condition issues promptly. Required qualifications: - Active Virginia Journeyman Electrician license in good standing. - At least four years of commercial or industrial electrical experience. - Strong knowledge of the NEC and commercial electrical installation practices. - Proficiency with conduit installation, wire pulling, terminations, and blueprint reading. - Ability to work independently and productively as part of a crew. - Reliable transportation to the Richmond area. - Ability to complete all client and project onboarding requirements. - Authorization to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications: - Previous hospital, healthcare, or other occupied critical-facility experience. - Experience coordinating electrical shutdowns without interrupting critical operations. - OSHA 10 or OSHA 30. - NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout training. - Experience with emergency power, generators, transfer switches, fire alarm, or critical branch systems. - Prior lead or crew-lead experience.
