Diesel Mechanic — Birmingham, Alabama · W-2 employment with Rinvio, working on site with our client. $25-$32 per hour | No per diem. Rinvio is recruiting a Diesel Mechanic for an opportunity in Birmingham, Alabama. If you enjoy finding the cause of mechanical problems, performing careful repairs and keeping diesel-powered equipment dependable, we would like to hear about your experience. Responsibilities: Inspect diesel-powered equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential mechanical problems. Troubleshoot faults using appropriate diagnostic procedures and service information. Perform routine preventive maintenance and complete assigned repairs within your training and expertise. Check completed work before equipment is returned to use, and report any unresolved concerns. Record inspections, repair work and parts used so the service team has a clear equipment history. Keep tools and work areas organized and follow established safety procedures. Preferred background: Hands-on diesel maintenance and repair experience. A methodical approach to diagnosing faults and checking repair results. Ability to follow service instructions and document work clearly. Attention to safety, workmanship and communication. A practical, dependable approach to completing assigned work and asking for help when needed.
